The mayor of Swindon, Fay Howard, visited the Swindon Arts Fringe (SWAF) exhibition at the Carriage Works. Cllr Fay Howard explored the venue, which houses five unique exhibitions: Swindon Open Studios, The Silent Web, Swindon Animation, Broken Britannia, and Home.

At the exhibit, she engaged with Swindon Open Studios chairperson Anna Enright about the inspiration behind a painting based on the Cherokee legend of the Two Wolves. The Mayor also tried her hand at animation alongside other curators.

The SWAF exhibition operates under the management of ARTSITE. It features 14 exhibitions spread across nine venues that are open daily from 11am to 5.30pm.
This Sunday, June 29, marks the last opportunity for residents and visitors to view the wide array of artwork produced by Swindon’s talented community. The exhibition is free for all to attend. The event has been a celebration of the town’s creative spirit.
A poetry competition, Words on Art, will announce its winners at Bakers Café, 16 Emlyn Square, on June 28 at 2pm.
The SWAF exhibition is located at the Carriage Works, London Road, near The Mechanics Institute.
