We encourage artists to use their own homes and studios (don't be afraid to use your kitchen or dining room as an exhibition space) but understand some may prefer to share an exhibition space with a friend or use a different, more public venue.
Artists should note that you may be responsible for your own public liability insurance so this should be confirmed with the venue. Similarly, there may be costs associated with exhibiting i.e. commission on sales or venue hire costs and again, these should be confirmed with the venue.
Swindon Open Studios and its committee will work with venues that want to take part in the event, but artists are responsible for making arrangements with the venue they would like to work with.

We encourage you to visit venues you may be interested in to see if the space works for you. If you are offered a space at a venue, please confirm by email your acceptance or politely decline if it's not suitable for you or if you change your mind
Please note that venues are offering their space to artists so they too have the right to decline an artist who they think isn’t right for them.

The Emporium of Loveliness is a unique charity boutique that selling high quality quirky and retro items to raise funds for Empower the Gambia.

Wyvern Theatre

Wyvern Theatre is a 635 Seat performing arts venue in central Swindon. They have lots of wall space in the lower foyer which is perfect for exhibitions.
Important information: Wyvern Theatre has space for 2 artists. They have limited tables and displays available so artists may need to bring their own. There is some limited access to power sockets and artwork may be left in place during the week. Artists are expected to have their own insurance

Eastcott Studios is an artist-run creative hub and gallery in Swindon. They are keen to welcome artists that would like to provide demos and workshops.

Swindon Heritage Preservation are offering three potential Venues: Bakers, Cricketers and Central Community Centre, all on Emlyn Square
Bakers - 16 Emlyn Square, Swindon, SN1 5BN, Cricketers 14 Emlyn Square, Swindon, SN1 5BN, Central Community Centre, Emlyn Square, Swindon, SN1 5BP
Dates: 26th & 27th September, 11am to 5pm
Charge: Commission/fee to be negotiated and depends on sales.
All three buildings are listed Heritage buildings updated for today’s use. The Cricketers has ongoing renovation on its 1st and 2nd floors. The Central Community Centre was the former hospital and is now used for large group hire, the Bakers was a former pub converted into a café, it is used for talks and community activity.
Important information: Spaces available: 6 in Community Centre, 4 in Cricketers, 1 in Bakers
Tables and displays provided by venue, easily accessible sockets available. Artists are expected to have their own insurance and artwork must be removed during the week

Museum & Art Swindon is located above the Civic Offices and houses Swindon’s extensive art collection. Artists will be able to display their work in the activity space.
Important information: Museum & Art Swindon has space for 4 artists. Tables and chairs can be provided as art cannot be hung on the walls. There are no electrical sockets available and artwork will need to be taken down between weekends. Artists are expected to have their own insurance

Dandelion is a gifts and coffee shop in the centre of Royal Wootton Bassett.

Athena Skills Centre would like to invite local artists to display their skills and talents.
Important information: Athena Skills Centre has space for 6 artists. Tables and chairs can be provided and art can also be displayed on the walls using standard fixings. There are easily accessible power sockets and art can be left on display during the week. The venue is 1 mile from J16 of the M4 and not suitable to visit on foot. Artists are expected to have their own insurance.
