I love colour as I feel it can change your mood so making bespoke lampshades in such bold colours brings me joy every day. I also sketch and paint people’s homes in a loose style initially giving them as ‘New Home’ present , but now as a moment in time !
At my new garden studio, I can show you how I reuse old lampshade frames, bind them in tape, then using a special stitch, attach the fabric ensuring it sounds drum like when tapped. I will also be demonstrating how I draw and paint, using pen and watercolour , my loose artwork of peoples homes. Learning to draw wiggly lines and then paint outside these lines is an art on its own as for many years we are taught to do the opposite , but the effect is unique.
