Kate Wade
Kate's work is a celebration of the countryside throughout the seasons. She works mainly in watercolour and gouache (body colour), incorporating pencil, ink and pastel, depending on the subject. She works by building up layers of watercolour and other media to create depth and atmosphere, often working on a large scale. The combination of materials allows for transparent and opaque areas, bringing a richness to the finished pieces.
Kate will be exhibiting a range of work from large watercolours to smaller paintings and sketches, both framed and unframed, as well as prints and cards. As in previous years, she is delighted to be sharing the space with Mary Thorne ceramics.
