Mary Mathews

From an early age I have been entranced by and drawn to coloured glass.

I first trained in stained glass but later moved into working with kiln formed glass which I love for its vibrancy and fluidity as it melts to form the most amazing tactile shapes and colours.

My inspiration is from the countryside and the sea and deep oceans.

I make a range of items from simple window hangers and bowls to wall art for the home. For the garden I make a range of items from standing glass panels, butterflies, dragonflies, large glass poppies as well as a range of jewellery.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and run classes towards the festive season.
