Hilary Sinclair
I paint in oils and watercolour, and enjoy a range of subjects, predominantly still life and landscapes. Much of my work is inspired by the natural world around us, and I love to paint outside, creating small studies that I can use to develop larger paintings.
In still life a recurring theme and constant source of learning is how to capture the essence of flowers, especially roses.
I have a representational style and enjoy exploring the effects that both oils and watercolour can achieve in different circumstances. If you visit my studio, you'll be able to see how I set up and paint a still life, and paintings and cards in both media.
