A WAY OF SEEING My attachment to the Jefferies Museum where you can still feel him, has never left me, never ceased to captivate me.

Rebecca Solnit says, “a place is a story.” By engaging with the narrative which is Coate Farmhouse and the surrounding Wiltshire countryside I want to develop a language of my own as a confirmation of my collected thoughts. Thoughts centred on the familiar, to notice the ordinary details of place.

My process is not about working towards some ideal masterpiece but an act of continually teasing out for myself what I feel is the best of those thoughts, to make my own contribution to a way of seeing personified by Richard Jefferies.
